Hello! I'm Myris Katherine Stelmer. Wonderful to meet you!
 I am, and always shall be, a child at heart, an old soul, and a wanderlust. 
I am chock full of clashing yet quaintly quirky contradictions. I try to find the beauty in everything and everyone.  I love any crafty thing and doing art and am fairly skilled with my hands in many different mediums and crafts. I can usually do most anything I set my mind to, even if it takes a while. I love animals and they tend to love me. I grew up around all sorts and know how to gain their trust and for a while I even thought I wanted to be a horse trainer.  I love languages, and while I am not talented with my tongue enough for me to say I am bilingual, I can speak some French, Spanish, starting to get better with my German, and I have a very thorough base in Latin....just don't ask me to say anything without warning...I usually have to write it out first. But I can get there! *chuckles*

I try to be the optimist, but I find it easy to be that person for others and not myself; the one they talk to when they are down or need help. I love that. I love listening and being there for people. Sometimes, it even helps me when I am down to help someone else. But when it comes to me I am rather hard on myself. I over critique, get depressed, lonely, only see my failures. But I am working on it and, like with everything else in my life, I am trying to be really honest with myself and other people. Just move forward.  But I am a lonely person whose friends are all far away.
I love to write and while the things I post on here are mainly just exercises for me unless stated otherwise, I take joy in them none the less. I love writing, short stories, novels, epic tales, poems, and hope to one day be published. But for now I simply write for my own enjoyment and hope that, maybe, someone else can take pleasure from my simple words.
