IMPORTANT
So here's the thing.
Let me start by saying that I am not abandoning my current work (The Mourning Man). I have been extremely busy with college and other things, I also have a writer's block. It's not that I don't know where to go next it's more that I'm having trouble writing it out in a way that I am satisfied with. I still plan to update this work but it might be quite a bit of time before I do.
That being said, I wanted to let you know that after this work I will not longer be posting here on Wattpad. I dislike how there are an obscene amount of ads between chapters, disrupting the reading flow, and because of this I simply don't use this site much anymore. I will still be writing and posting fanfiction but I will be over on Archive of Our Own. Same username and profile picture. On there I have started a one-shot series where I post one shots from various fandoms. Currently there is only one posted but more are sure to follow. I figured I'd do that for a bit and take a small break from writing and rewriting the next (and last few) chapters of this story, and hopefully figure it out.
I will not be deleting this account or taking down my works, and I will probably still check comments every once in awhile, but my works here will not be moved to AO3 and any new works will no longer be posted here on Wattpad. (You do not need an account to read or comment on fics on AO3, just thought I'd add that in case that's an issue for some people.)
I will still post the final chapters of The Mourning Man when they are finished here, but after that it's over.
For now at least. Who knows what the future holds?
I love all of you guys, and I am so grateful that you all enjoyed and supported my works, you have no idea what that has meant to me.
Hopefully I see some of you over on AO3.

Hey guys! I have a question for you all. Well actually for those who live in the U.S. and are currently or have only recently left middle school or high school.
My question is this: do you think our school system is lacking in any way, how could we make it better?
Think in terms of learning environment, curriculum, class structure, homework/tests etc.
I’m writing an article for my school paper about this and wanted to know what you all think!

@StyxHuntress The school systems lack in every way shape and form. The (schools and teachers) are maintaining the high expectations they had while we were in person and haven't seemed to realize those that high expectations can't be meet. We are in a pandemic not all students have the same access to internet or other necessities. Honestly to me it feels like the school system hasn't been updated since our grandparents were young kids. It doesn't accommodate the new and growing society. I still think there needs to be a basic first aid. On top of that each state, each school district has a different learning curriculum which is messed up because we aren't learning the same information across the country (outside of English, math, history [this depends on the teacher] and social studies). Why bother teaching us skills that we can't always apply to the real world? Sorry for the rant and if its all over the place I have so much to say about this its ughhhhhh!!
@StyxHuntress As a senior in highschool during a pandemic, that likely won't go away anytime soon, the school system is expecting to much of us. They expect us to go on as though we didn't end the previous school year three months early. They're giving us the same amount of work as normal, both when online and in person, not taking into account our mental health states. Many of us have never had to do school work at home, there are to many variables in our homes that make it difficult to pay attention- it's likely that students have to do their schooling in their bedrooms, and that can mess up their sleep schedule and make it even harder to pay attention the longer they are virtual.
@StyxHuntress honestly I think we lack diversity in multiple ways: most of the time, a teacher uses one method the whole year, which makes it difficult for people who prefer, say auditory learning. We also lack diversity in some of the topics we learn about; take black history month for example. It’s all well and good, but why shouldn’t we be learning about these people mixed in with the regular curriculum all year? One thing that really bothers me, is when a teacher says you can have your phones in class but heat them powered off, or that you need to be quiet, and if one student is talking, or gets out their phone, don’t get reprimanded, but there will be students taking selfies or messing around in class, then just get it over. It’s perfectly fine when they do it. And I like school, but I hate when they give us back assignments, and takeoff points, but they don’t tell us what we were docked for. Because then we don’t know how to fix it, and we don’t learn anything from it.
