I feel like most of authors in wattpad book include heavy topics like abuse, rape, assault but instead of using these topics as like yk providing awarness and having a good message out of it most of them just use it as trauma dumping. They keep adding more trauma on charecters just for the sake od giving the charecter dept but i doesnt work like this. I feel like this is common in wattpad ive read so many books where the charecter was in a abusive relationship or maybe SA but its just there never really acted upon its there for readers to give symapthy? Most of times FMC would have traumatic past then the moment she meets MC its never really spoken about. When something traumatic happens there are consequences on victim PTSD panic attacks. I have read stories with heavy topics like these and they are beuatifully done. I feel like if authors choose to add heavy topics they should be careful on how they choose to unfold the story because young kids are reading these stories taking wrong message out of it. Romaticizing heavy topics like these because they dont know better
