I have always struggled with 'About Me' paragraphs. I can conjure a character out of thin air and craft a detailed flowing description that draws a tear to the eye, sends a chill down the spine, or lights a smile upon the lips. But when it comes to describing myself.... well, then it becomes a little more difficult. So... until I come up with a better way to describe who I am, this will have to suffice.

I am definitely a dreamer.
I absolutely adore books, films, television shows, live performances, music... you get the idea.
Obviously I enjoy writing; my favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fiction with undertones of various other genres and a generally dark setting.
I like to think I'm open minded about most things, although like most people there are some topics of conversation that are 'hot buttons' for me. 
I am extremely passionate about animals and everything associated with them; I have big plans to make the world a better place for ALL living creatures on this planet, not just humans. (I'm a cat/dog person; I can't choose between them)
I read pretty much everything, although I do try to avoid romances- if I read a romance story, its because it is f***ing amazing (please excuse the profanity). 

And, that's me in a nutshell.
