I haven't written a word in two weeks since I've been sick in bed. All my buffer chapters for this book have now dried up so updates will be whenever I get better. This puts a wrench in my plans to submit three works to the Amby's. I might have just to deal with two.

After the long wait, I'm so happy to announce that I've made it to the ONC 2026 Longlist. Whew! 
          
          The Longlist has been my goalpost since the beginning as I'm not under any illusions of winning but it's a fun ride to be sure.!!

It’s chaotic in the best way, the kind of fun where my poor knee suffered from all the slapping.
          
          A wild, clever parody that knows exactly what it’s doing, and has the audacity to enjoy every second of it.

Who else is excited for the ONC longlist to drop soon — because I’m already hedging my bets that this novella by @EvelynHail is a shoo‑in.
          
          The opener is lush. The first chapter is so descriptive it immediately locks in the tone: a world swallowed by shadow, a girl sent on a mission she can’t refuse, and a prince whose light is both her target and her undoing. It’s rich without being heavy, the kind of worldbuilding that feels lived‑in from the first paragraph.
          
          And speaking of dragons — apparently I’m on a streak — this story brings that simmering, slow‑burn tension between duty and desire. You can already feel something heating under the surface , the kind of emotional pressure that promises trouble in the best way.
