I am ab art student, I have been working on my own orignal book for 5 years now. I love the paranormal and fantasy genres. My biggest influences are the vampire diaries universe, and vampire academy. I also love Miss peregrine's home for peculiar children.
I wanted to write the story that I wanted to see. I love the vampire genre, but I was never totally into the romance part completely. I take the biggest inspiration from Vampire Academy. I loved how it had a romance plot, but was also about Rose's deep relationship with Lissa, her best friend. Which I feel doesn't get enough attention. The main character almost always blows off their friends once they start dating the vampire in most other media. I also loved how it took a challenging topic like depression, trauma and self-harm in a more serious light compared to other books that are coated in high school drama. which that book is also coated in, but it has those serious moments to balance it out. So I made and are still working on Colak Clan, which is an urban fantasy vampire book for an older audience that is based around two best friends who both deal with those serious topics of substance abuse, trauma, depression, and self-harm in a digestible interwoven story full of secrets to uncover.
