I grew up in  the 70's, a very strange time compared to today. Tech was exploding, all of it expensive, none of it was very good 😅 and we all bought it anyway. But there was something that wasn't expensive and would bring hours of enjoyment, books. I loved to read, especially fantasy. The first series of books I really got into, besides DC Comics, was the Dungeons & Dragons Endless Quest books. This led to to me reading Tolkien, Howard, Asimov and Clark to start with. Then Star Wars came out, as a child it blew my mind. As an adult, I can appreciate how Lucas took an age old theme and spun a simplistic but fleshed out story. I had always wished I could do something like that but life happens. 
In my late 20's, I began to travel. I learned about other cultures and their stories, I also discovered a love for another type of media, Japanese light novels and manga. While traveling, I met the woman who eventually agreed to be my wife, we have two sons we somehow brought up to have great careers.   When life finally slowed down for me I took the time to type a few thoughts out, character and story outlines. I would do this in my free time to keep idleness, and those thoughts you have when nothing is going on, at bay. I would type, and retype, for hours, walking away when it became frustrating and not returning for weeks sometimes. The worst part was having to rewrite as I didn't want to infringe on anyone else's stories or properties. 
Honestly, I really wrote these stories for me as a way to escape. I wasn't sure if I wanted to share them. In the end I put them here so I could receive encouragement and maybe some criticism that will help me be a better writer.
