Hi, everyone! Once again someone is ripping our writing ideas off by stealing our new character personalities that we have created, particularly Stef from our Streetlife book, Denni and Lena’s relationship, and other bits and pieces that we have worked hard to incorporate and that we take from our own lives that make our stories different. We've addressed the matter with this writer in a calm manner behind the scenes, but there's nothing we can do as we were met with hostility before we were blocked. Yes, they continue to steal from us, and it’s not okay. Sure ideas can be used from various shows, stories, etc, but the theft in this case is glaringly obvious. Just know we are the original source of these ideas, not the the other way around. Thank you for your support.
Yes. The same person who rips different people off and pieces it together to make her own story then acts innocent in it all. I’m just over it. Come up with your own stuff. We work so hard to come up with new and original ideas!
@PurpleOrchid701 Yes, but it is very difficult to continue the discussion if the other writer blocks you during the discussion. We prefer to always communicate privately with another writer if an issue arises. That is always our preference! But we do need to protect our work, all writers do, and we fully support all the wonderful authors we have met on here! So many great ones and a wonderful community. We appreciate all of you for following our books for years! They will keep coming! Thanks for reading our work!
I see someone posted on their story that they were accused of stealing story ideas. She said she gave her side of the story and is offended and you didn’t believe her. Have you two talked this through? Maybe there is a misunderstanding or what happened?
