New Book Announcement | The Last Stone ▪︎ ⌈ Featuring Jay Park ⌋

Jay possesses this infuriatingly natural ability to turn even the most ordinary cliché into something that refuses to be ignored. The mere appearance of a new photo series is often enough to set an entire novel in motion in my mind, and I now spend a concerning amount of time resisting the urge to bring every single idea to life (ideas that, for the moment, behave and remain locked away in my drafts, waiting, perhaps, for their turn to be summoned).

A few days ago, one of my script, The Last Stone, demanded my attention more insistently than the others (undeniably helped by the photo that claimed its place on the book’s cover).

So, what is this story about?
Among the (many!) hashtags, one may catch your eye: #wrongnumber.
Yes, the story does begin there, with that familiar premise. But I have no intention of stopping where expectations usually do.
This is a story that starts with a wrong number, and then deliberately wanders... elsewhere.
(In other words: if you’re expecting a narrative told entirely through text messages, this won’t be that.)

Of course, I find it difficult to stray too far from my "signature": protagonists with heavy hearts, sharp humor, and an impressive talent for misunderstanding if not ignoring their own emotions. This time, however, the universe leans slightly darker than usual.

Jay appears here more magnetic, more mysterious, and more captivating than I have ever allowed him to be.
I can only hope his presence will resonate with you as deeply as it unsettled me while shaping the first chapters.

I’ll stop here before I reveal more than I should.
          	So... Happy reading, everyone.

New Book Announcement | Blue Heart ▪︎ ⌈ Featuring Bang Chan ⌋

Loving to write doesn’t prevent us, as many of you have probably already noticed with obvious pleasure (ironic)… from suffering the terrible affliction that is the-damn-writer’s block.

Sadly, right now, I’m feverishly affected while working on Blind Fate.
I stumble, I write, then erase, then rewrite. I hunt for words, but they keep escaping me the same way the sun escapes the panorama in Christmas photographs.
Let’s just say that after a while, spinning my wheels grows tiresome, and I need a change of scenery…

I must admit, I hadn’t expected writer’s block (who ever does?), but in the very last chapter I published, I had considered, completely randomly, a sort of crossover between Blind Fate and my next novel.
Mentioning Bang Chan was supposed to be just a tiny hint and I had no concrete idea yet of the story that would animate my next Wattpad project.

But I always have so many ideas in my head that it’s hard not to be tempted to start a new story almost… every week!
And as new characters have been taking shape in my mind for a few days already, or should I say… a few nights, the urge became simply too strong to resist.

          So here it is…
My new novel, Blue Heart, starring Bang Chan (… please!) as a famous model and actor.
You’ll read more about the blurb in the chapter “Setting the Stage”.
My heroine’s traits: she will appear here with a well-tempered personality and a sharp humor (who said "as always"?).
And the main ingredient of all my stories, whether they end happily or tragically, is, of course… love.

          Happy reading, everyone!

Also...
You’ll notice that Keanu Reeves joins the story.
Well, he seemed quite pleased with the script, especially since I agreed to include his three cats… and I granted him the privilege of being particularly amusing, so he simply couldn’t say no.
(I’m almost embarrassed to say such things, given how much I admire him… Keanu, please, don’t read these lines, okay?)

⍾ A rather random Saturday-morning question ⍾

Some people have told me that even when they type my name "The Jayline Effect", they still can’t find me on Wattpad.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
          Thank you for your advice.

Thank you for trying to find me…
By the way, I wanted to ask: have you noticed that when you type, you add a space after the @?
Which means I don’t get the notifications and only saw your message now…
Just so you know why I wasn’t replying.
            ⍾ Hope you’re doing well ⍾

By the way, I just took a little stroll through your page… and I have to say, your covers are genuinely lovely.

No surprise to anyone here that I’m very Jay-inclined, so I was especially taken with the covers for "Ink Juri" and "Venom Beneath the Velvet"; that last title in particular sparks all kinds of curiosity. It almost rebels against the tenderness of the cover.
I only wish it were in English; I would have loved to get a glimpse of your writing style.

⍾ Reflections of a writer after an all-consuming chapter... ⍾

As I finish Chapter 24 of Blind Fate, I can’t help but notice how absorbing this story has become.
The further I go, the harder it is to slow down my ideas, and, admittedly, my fingers on the keyboard.
I’ve broken a record, again, with over 4,500 words.

And while that number is mildly terrifying, no amount of reading and rereading convinces me that cutting anything would be wise... it would be like asking a chef to remove the best ingredients from a dish.

          So yes: I love writing.
Yes: I love writing Blind Fate.
And yes: it’s entirely possible that the chapters to come will be just as... generously indulgent.

          Enjoy.

⍾ Sunday musings on a story I can’t seem to put down... ⍾

After several days without access to my drafts, I finally find myself publishing a new chapter⏤over 4,000 words long. A record, indeed!
It seems as though my inspiration has been quietly guided by the fear of never being able to access my account, my books, or the ideas still lying in wait, waiting to take shape here...

More honestly, I have been so immersed in the story of Jay and Dan, in the intensity of their bond, that lifting the pen, even a virtual one, from the pages of this novel has been a challenge.

I hope you enjoy Chapter 23, which carries a subtle turn in their journey.

          Happy reading, everyone!

⍾ Knock knock! ⍾

I just wanted to leave a few words, considering that Blind Fate is so gripping for me that I can barely hold back while writing.
So, once again... yes, the length of Chapter 20 is a bit unusual.

But when I think about it, the chapter releases are clearly playing the same game as the winter sun: becoming rarer whether you want to see them or not.
So it suddenly seems that you won’t mind having nearly 3,500 words to devour.
At least, I hope you won’t.
And I still hope you enjoy the evolution of the story.

But enough words! I’ll leave you with... a good appetite!

P.S. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who votes for this novel and leaves comments. It truly means a lot.

⍾ Ordinary thoughts on a rainy September day ⍾

As I sifted through my books, trying to decide which one I shouldn’t let gather too much dust, I was surprised to notice that three of them ranked in the Top 5 of Jay Park fanfictions, a realization that, absurdly and naively, filled me with a certain pride.

But why absurd? And why naive?
Because... looking at their number of reads, I can’t help but wonder what real impact such rankings truly have... and somehow, I feel hashtags alone might not be enough to guide readers to these stories.
          Well... I don’t know.

          ⏛

On another note, I’m deeply touched to see that the story I’m most passionate about right now, Blind Fate, is finding its audience.
Let’s be honest... it’s the most read and highest rated of all my works, so yes, that really moves me.
But... (I can’t help myself; there’s always a question lingering in my mind!) I wonder why it seems to attract only silent readers, those who enjoy the tale without leaving a trace.

It would be so interesting to know which phrase gave you goosebumps, which passage lingered in your mind at night, or how you felt about the story’s evolution.
But I guess I’ll have to be happy with the votes for now, which are undoubtedly flattering in themselves.

          Happy reading, everyone!

⍾ When a story captivates its author... ⍾

Today, as I published chapter 12bis* of Blind Fate, I realized I had already written almost 15 chapters to narrate only... two days. Ouch.
As you might have guessed, yes... it simply means I love details.

But I won’t lie... just as much as I love writing Blind Fate, it’s hard not to feel the pull of my other published stories, not wanting to let them gather dust, or even worse (or better?!) the urge to start a brand-new one.
And while typing this message, I counted no fewer than 19 plots quietly waiting to bloom into novels on my feed. Which is kind of... terrifying, I must admit.

That said, I’ve been receiving so many votes for Blind Fate...
It’s a first for me, and it truly means a lot.
So I just wanted to leave a little note here to say thank you.
And I hope you’ll enjoy what’s coming just as much!

          Happy reading, everyone!

*You’ll notice the same in all my novels: I never publish a chapter 13.

@glidermimi

May I keep that answer somewhere between the mysterious and the inexplicable?

Other than that, and as you asked… I finally have access to my drafts again, so a new post should be coming soon.
I still love Blind Fate and Jay & Dan, but lately, I’ve been struggling to write something that feels both coherent and engaging.
I was all the more frustrated by the recent Wattpad bugs as they came just when I finally felt like writing.

And you... have you found any time to write amid all your exams?

Writing Blind Fate is a real joy, and I’m truly touched that the story is finding even the tiniest bit of success... it already means so much to me.
I’m also doing my best to keep moving forward with your book "Until The End"; free time is painfully scarce these days, but whenever I can steal a moment, I dive in with genuine pleasure.

⍾ Blind Fate ▪︎ A tale gripping its own author ⍾

I never would have suspected that Jay and Dan could keep me so hooked!
Meanwhile, my other novels are gathering a bit of dust... sorry to the readers still waiting for new chapters!
Hopefully, I’ll find some time soon to breathe new life into each story.
