Work on prose has been sporadic at best. For time-economy, I've been smacking down the poetry. For those of you who like that sort of thing, feel free to stop by and share your thoughts.
I bear no liability if my weird, abstracted poetry wrecks your mind.
As a few of you may be aware, I am participating in the Sci-Fi Smackdown hosted by ForbiddenPlanet. Thus, you may expect a series of stories to appear on my page over the course of the next few months. Assuming I make it past Round One, that is.

@ThePinkyandTheBrain Yeah. I finally made it to my parents house, and I'm going to spend the day at the beach. Granted, it's about 40 degrees, but it is beautiful outside. Snow...eeeh. I spent all of last night cuddling with my best friend watching American Horror Story. Since she and I are complete pansies, going to the beach will be the first time I've left my room in like 12 hours. Too scared to go outside. :( Ha, yes, my secret identity is not really that hard to find. Nor is it really secret. I just like pen names. With tree last names. So Shelby or Rae work fine. @SRae91 Ha, we're about to get a blizzard up here in Iowa. I've been busy reading Foundation by Isaac Asinov, watching a mix of House and Walking Dead, and (very soon) I'll be shoveling snow. Three feet of it. Lovely. Anyway, my story is also crawling at best, just like the aforementioned turtle. But I'm still hopeful. I followed the link on your page to the short story and discovered your secret identity. @ThePinkyandTheBrain I just listen to music on Youtube, as I am way too poor to buy anything. I shall have to look at those songs, because I appreciate talent but can only handle so many high pitched noises. :) Writing is...not? going...but I'm working on it. Right now I'm recovering from a bout of the flu and pretty much watched an entire season of Grey's Anatomy yesterday, much to my own horror. Ha, thanks. I only put up this pic to prove I'd been to the snow! I've only seen snow like, twice though so I think I'm 18 in this one. Ah, the good old days. @SRae91 Yeah, the seventies and eighties were a crazy time. My favorite song is Pagliacci and a few of ballad style songs, like "Fool on the Hill," "The Sound of Silence," and "The Impossible Dream" are pretty darn good too, and less piercing. Enough about all that though. I listened to the some Stevie Ray Vaughan, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and will enjoy even more as I fall asleep from it. Unfortunately, I have way too much music I want to buy now...maybe I should just subscribe to Spotify! How's the writing going? @ThePinkyandTheBrain was listening to some of Maynard Ferguson's music. He probably won't make it onto my casual listening list (trumpet isn't my favorite instrument, the sound is too piercing), but daaaang. That guy can play.
