Look I’m not going to lie, these last few weeks I’ve been considering hanging up my boots with Wattpad on the grounds of the algorithm and B.S.
It’s hard for writers like myself or @Relentlezz41 to get noticed but some random who writes generic boy meets girl Romeo and Juliet garbage gets 10 million reads, a payment deal and so on. Wattpad only focuses on those who are established creators who make them money. Not us.
@-OmegaZero- I've been frustrated too, most of the stories that they promote are absolute trash, bar none. I have been working my butt off on "Forgiving Tucker" for a good part of a year now and absolute silence from Wattpad. I now post my works on AO3, they don't give promotions to anybody or writing deals, but your writings may get traction there as long as you use tons of tags as you publish your works so it's easier to find.
Another writer I forgot to mention @itzgazza who busts his ass day in and day out. I recommend reading a Devils Sayin, his best work bare none
Lonely night as usual
Had blood work done today. See my feet have been killing me. For about 30 seconds they’ll start throbbing and go away, then come back half an hour later. So assuming I either had gout or a family condition I went to get blood taken. TL,DR. I’m fat so I got blood taken
Got a six day stretch of 12s and 10s coming my way. Co-workers off to the city so I’ve been selected to fill in.
Loving your stories keep up the good work
I was once accused of using my cousins suicide as a source of pity. That person is no longer my friend. That day he died it clicked that life is a fragile thing. And from that day on I promised never to go down the same path he did.
I pass on the story to those considering suicide in hopes of giving them a look into the minds of those who where on the outside looking in. And how they feel. And hoping that makes them reconsider. I promised to use it as a learning experience and use it to teach those I love that death is never the answer. I will always refer to that day as a defining moment in my life when I learned just how quickly life can be snuffed, and how much it hurts.
Suicide isn’t a joke. It never will be. Please. Think of those who love you. You have a reason to live. You’re just clouded and can’t see it yet.
