Thank you for your interest in the story. Yes, the reader will indeed have a love interest. However, I cannot reveal who it is just yet.
            
            One of the key points of my story is that rather than reveal the love interest at the beginning like most other works based on this series, I intend to slowly hint at this plot point throughout the story and keep building on those hints until it becomes obvious.
            
            This is the main distinction I wanted to make between this Total Drama story and all the others on this site, because I thought that a fresh and unique way of handling that kind of plot would make the story stand out more.
            
            However, I have been hinting at the identity of the love interest since as early as the first chapter, and I will be doubling the amount of hints in the next few chapters to increase the pace of the buildup.
            
            If you pay very close attention to the details of the story, it should become obvious very soon who the love interest will be.

            In fact, I’m actually doing better than before as after 10 long years of being a part-time caregiver for my mother and then grandfather (due to their dementia) we’ve finally had to make the big decision to put my grandfather in long term care. 
            
            This has left me with a lot more free time, but because I want to repay my grandparents for everything they’ve done for me in helping to raise me, I’m currently spending most of my days working outside on repairing the family property that’s been neglected during all the caregiving.
            
            Because I am now spending far less time indoors or on my phone, updates here will be slower for the foreseeable future. However, I am now helping my family on my own terms because I want to, rather than out of necessity, so it’s far less stressful.

Currently, no. 
            
            I’m only doing this in my spare time when I have nothing else to do, so it wouldn’t really be fair to accept requests that I likely - realistically- wouldn’t be able to get to.

            It actually didn’t take me very long at all because most of it was either copied from a script I had for a YouTube Video, or memorized nearly word for word from all the history I’d learned thanks to gaining an interest from articles I’d read by the Mad Monarchist.
