Not going to lie, I'm really freaking frustrated (and furious) about the government cancelling GCSEs and A-Levels. We've worked for five years, stressing, revising, the whole lot and now we don't even get to take the tests. I get why they've done it, but postponing them was an option! These qualifications are incredibly important for our futures, and yet the government won't even tell us anything.
Anyway, stay safe and wash your hands, everyone! I'm going to go and revise for the heck of it.

@TheShadowchronicles I am lucky in that I'm in a situation where I can distance myself from others easily and I have no abusive relationships. I mean, I am surrounded by gay men in my life, who are lovely and supportive. But yes. As a performer, this is really hard. I'm doing live streams on Facebook and that really helps me just as a performer who needs an audience and also to pay the bills. So I'm lucky. For now. It might not keep up indefinitely. But I'm grateful that I can still do what I love and get some tips doing it. :-)

@AbbyWheelerRomance I just saw this, sorry! That's terrible, and there's no conceivable way for you to continue that job in the current situation, so I hope you're doing okay! Luckily for me, I don't struggle with being alone, so I'm fine (although not being able to leave the house is getting to me) but my heart really goes out to everyone who thrives on social contact, anyone who's in an abusive relationship and forced to stay in close proximity to their abusers. I really hope this ends soon.

This is a really hard time, no matter where you are in life. All of my gigs cancelled and I have no idea when things are going to start up again.
I feel for everyone. Our entire lives have been put on hold and we don't know for how long.

Good luck to everyone participating in NaNoWriMo! I'm sitting this one out (and the next one hundred too) because a) exams are slowly draining my life force b) I have little writing ability and the ability I have is so horrific I'd be better off without any and c) I'm not a masochist like the rest of you authors.
Again, good luck (you guys are going to need it) and try not to lose your souls during this month. I'll be here if anyone wants to send me essays about how they regret all their choices in life. ;D

@TheShadowchronicles there is one advantage to losing your soul to NaNo -- lots of excuses for both excessive caffeine in the morning and excessive wine in the evening. It's all about the creative process and all the unhealthy things we do to feed it.
