@TheSilentSin the most popular book on Wattpad is a fanfic romance involving Harry Styles, called "After". Wattpad is somewhat notorious for being the website/app for fanfictions, for better or worse, from Twilight to Lord of the Rings to MyHeroAcademia. So long as you clarify it is a fanfiction and don't claim copywrite over the source material (though you can claim copywrite over any original additions), then you're good.

@TheSilentSin this is true. There's nothing wrong with that per say. If that's what helps, do it. That said, for me, I went ahead and started writing future individual chapter scenes, a 14k word character list for character backstories, or create alternative stories in my lore, to inspire me. It helps indirectly by expanding the lore, your characters, and book simultaneously but doesn't require writing the section you really don't want to.
