I started writing two years ago when I created a blog about being single in my late 30's! I found that my dating disasters and challenges as a single woman had some hilarity in each situation. It was great to practice humour and 1st person writing. You can check it out at www.the-little-starfish.com
Since then I've entered the NYC Midnight short story challenges where they provide the genre and character prompt for 2,500 words. I loved writing historical fiction but horror was a challenge this year!
I'm currently working on a fictional text that explores male and female perspectives which intrigues me, as well as integrating ideas I have from living on an island for a year. What starts off as realistic fiction in the past is going to journey to a futuristic look at 2024. I'm also going to explore a realistic relationship between these two characters. Nobody is perfect and no one falls in love at first sight anymore! We know that even the best of friendships ebb and flow. I hope that you take this journey with me.
Please leave me a comment. I appreciate any of your thoughts.
