Right now I'm an unemployed retail supervisor after 24+ years doing it. My 85 year had a brain injury during a fall last year, and I had to place her in a nursing home for seven months. I had to take three weeks off to get her on Medicaid, which the company I worked for frowned upon but couldn't stop because of the Federal Family Leave Act, but they can sure punish you in subtle ways. So, after three and a half months of taking it, I walked and have been living on my 401K. I will be dusting off my resume soon and looking for another job to support my writing.
I'm seriously considered getting into using Amazon's self-publishing. Going the traditional route takes too long and seems to be designed to crushing creative spirits.
Loves: I love writing and researching subjects that interest me. I love non-fiction as much as fiction. Read all the non-fiction you can on subjects that interest you. That knowledge will form the framework of your works. Facts are the nails boards and screws that you will hammer and screw in the boards to build your fictional structures.
I love good music, which for me is a lot of country because great songs have at their hearts a story, and country does it better than most genres. I also love instrumental soundtracks. I compose my novel by Permanent Waves channel on Radio 365.
I'm a very curious by nature, but bore easliy.
