It doesn't matter how long your book is, a story is a story. It could be 50 chapters, or 1. A good story is defined by its characters and plot, not the sophistication of words or the length of the chapters. If someone tells you a chapter is too short, or your story needs better vocabulary, they are wrong. They are the ones who cannot use their imagination to fill in the gaps or use their tongue to twist magnificent tales into reality.

That, my friend, is you.

Don't let their meaningless words stop you from doing what you enjoy, and remember to put yourself and your wellbeing before the paper and pen or keyboard in front of you. Those can wait, your health cannot.
