Hi ...I wanted to ask about the books and stories that are eligible for the 'PNGWC'. Do the books have to be purely inspired by PNG and Pacific culture? Any chance for those who are world building on a global scale with Pacific themes? Like the subtle but traceable themes? Is that eligible?

Hi Serah, good morning❤️ The books inside the PNGWC are books of all All genres they don’t have to be purely inspired by PNG or Pacific culture. They can be more broad and global. All books are welcomed. For example, we have a book by one of our PNG writers. He is writing a book on magic realism, sci-fi and mystery with a hint of fantasy. His world building is on a more broad and global scale. He has created a whole dystopian reality outside of influences from our region. There are other writers, myself included, who have our books world built outside pacific or PNG themes, then there’s books with heavy influences of Pacific and PNG themes. So yes your book is very much eligible and I look forward to accepting your application if you decide to apply❤️
