I've got a terrible and wonderful case of the travel bug that will hopefully one day propel me to every continent (Antarctica included) and an unquenchable curiosity towards historic culture. I talk too much and I walk too fast and I have a terrible, passionate hate towards numbers. I am a wholehearted supporter of the Oxford Comma; there's the whole "We invited the rhinoceri, Washington, and Lincoln" v. "We invited the rhinoceri, Washington and Lincoln," and honestly, if you didn't use it then it really just looks like a big, fat typo.
Between adventures, I live my life at the theatre. Some of the time it's center stage, but I spend much of it dressing other actors and developing special effects makeup. Reading and writing fill both the little and large gaps in my time and spirit me away to places of adventure even when my feet are rooted firmly in the uneventful Midwestern ground. I often take hours to write a chapter, continually getting sucked back into my imagination.
Currently my literary obsession lies in Dystoptian novels, but I'm also a big fan of Historic Fiction. My top five includes in no particular order and without really scratching the surface of all the masterpieces I've had the opportunity to enjoy:
1. Graceling
2. Between Shades of Gray
3. The Fault in Our Stars
4. Seeds of America Trilogy
5. Birthmarked Trilogy
It really kind of sucks that no one reads my writing, but I guess it's all worth it for those six reads... Well, views.
