Well, if you use a kindle, two books I highly recommend are the Cat's eye chronicles and the Iron butterfly. (as far as I know, the first books are still free. :3 ) For real books, basically anything by Tamora Pierce is gold (although I suggest you start with either Wild Magic or Alanna the Lioness). The stand alone book All the Truth thats In Me is anazing, the Eragon series rocks, K.M Shea (on the kindle) is amazing and wonderful, Lord of the Flies and Pride and Prejudice are amazing (as always :3) The Paper Magician is beautiful, Mairelon the Magicion by Patricia Wrede, Rise of the Dragons by Morgan Rice, The Cold King by Amber Aeger (free on kindle ) Hunting by Andrea K. Höst (free on kindle) the Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, and Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith (at the time I got it, it was free on kindle. :3)
