Actually its about us.

Two otherwise novice writers, collaborating together on a Role Playing(RP) forum run by a mutual friend of ours. We came up with a crazy idea to work together to create a story simply to pass the downtime at work (honestly it was during the downtime and not when we should have been busy working!). I wanted to do something Pirate-esque with gun fights and hunting for Treasure with Pirate Ships that sailed through space and he liked my idea and promptly added to it, resulting in a baseline story about two very different characters with clashing personalities literally bumping into each other and forced to help one another in order complete their individual goal/mission.

For those who have no idea what a RP forum is all about, it's a place where people create characters and stories with other people, either one on one or in groups of various sizes, using their characters to predominately drive the collaborated story idea along. Its a rather crude explanation, apologies...i'm terrible at explaining things properly. Regardless it's a community much like this except that the stories are mainly written for the enjoyment of its participants. Other members can read if they so wish as all the threads are open but its optional and the stories created are not there necessarily to be judged, but there is the opportunity for the story to be picked as the best RP of the Month by the staff which is a nice gesture.

So yeah, my friend @Writer_Alstone suggested that if we wanted feedback from others that this would be a good place to start and so here we are, hoping that you will enjoy and help us to mould our story further in our crazy attempt to make a fully plausible book series!
