FINALLY POSTED <3 :)

**PART ONE**

So starting in May my Dad got really sick. He's had kidney failure and been on dialysis since 2022. He also could no longer drive and was in a wheel chair.
He was hospitalized before his Birthday (which was May 10) and they sent him home with fluids and said he was fine.
Right after Mother's Day (May 11, I'm in the USA)
He was back in the hospital with a really bad blood infection and an infected catheter. He got the catheter removed and started the other kind of dialysis in the hospital (he'd been doing it at home).
He was admitted to the hospital to try to get rid of the infections.
He was scheduled for rehab at the end of May. He was there for two days when he had a reaction to the medication and started threatening doctors and suicide. They sent him back to the hospital and changed his meds.
He still had the infection and was getting weaker. He eventually ended up with a feeding tube as he was losing too much weight.
After Father's Day (June 15) he had another surgery to try and remove the infection. The doctor said it went as best as it could but it wasn't 100% certain.
He was still in the hospital about another week and a half after Father's Day to get rid of the infection and get clean blood work.
By the end of June he was finally cleared to go back to rehab.
He was doing the exercises and working towards getting the feeding tube back out.
I am a competitive Equestrian and was at a show.
On July 5/6 we got a call saying he was complaining of pain and thought the infection was back. They'd moved him back to the hospital from the rehab.
By the time my mom arrived at the hospital (around midnight) he'd had a blood clot and heart attack. He was on life support, and my mom made the decision to turn the life support off as the doctor said he could no longer breathe on his own

**PART TWO**
He died Monday morning July 7 around 1AM.
It's been a rough week of funeral home visits, and lawyers and banks.
They also lost his phone (they found it but that was an ordeal).
Honestly my Dad and I weren't the closest at the end and it was hard as he never really knew how to "bond" with me as a teenager- but I'm still just barely 30 (I'm in my late 20's), so losing a parent young is difficult and it's just a weird feeling. My dad got very angry and bitter at the end. It was all very stressful. I'm glad he's no longer in pain.
We're just really busy and my mom's been running around trying to get things done. He didn't want a funeral, we are just having him cremated and buried at the cemetery for service men as he was in the army.
          Anyway.. life update/story time.
Sorry I fell off the face of the earth.
I will try to write some one-shots soon!
I miss writing. Just been busy and unmotivated ‍♀️
