So, in eighth grade health, we talk about mental health, and mental disorders, etc. so our health teacher paired us into groups of different disorders, like anxiety, ptsd, etc, and my groups and I just so happened to get Eating disorders. He told us to mainly focus on Anorexia, Bulimia and Overeating disorder. It's kind of a touchy subject for me, if you haven't noticed, so I tired to make sure I kept quiet if people were to say something offensive without even realizing it, because they obviously don't know about my issues, or what they're saying is offensive. Anyways, I packed as much information as possible I tot hat speech, because it's such an important topic to me. I was kind of irritated by something people said tho.
1. "Ed's are about being skinny and starving yourself" wrong. Most ed's are triggered by a loss of control/are about control. Also, there are many eating disorders, so don't just stereotype BC you only know one.
2. Ed's are not something just easily fixable, like fixing a misspelled word. It's a disorder, and it's hard to get rid of and takes time.
