Hello, 
My name is Uma, and I live in Mumbai, India, with my family.  

For me writing is a hobby and reading is my passion. My works are the result of my imagination running wild. I was introduced to this world of imagination as a kid when my father would cook up stories about an elephant and his siblings.  Balan, Malan and Jaya.

I am a foodie. I like to travel, explore new places and taste their local cuisine. Maharashtrian food is my favourite. 

When it comes to music it is better for the world and me if I stick to listening as I can't hold a tune.

Rang (Hindi-colour) is a collection of short stories for children. In it I try to explore various traits that I wish to inculcate in the new generation.  Well they are the replication of the bedtime stories I tell my little one. 

Depth, my first novel is now complete.  It explores the depth of various relationships and our reaction to it.
Kundavai is my second novel and is ongoing.  It is very close to my heart. It explores subjects like Psy, ESPs etc.
