@_weasley_twins_wife Glad I was able to warn you in time! The bots from AO3 are really transplanting themselves to Wattpad, and they're all trying to trick young authors. Don't give any of them your contacts.
Bro thanks for the tip! I wasn't planning on giving them any money, but at least they left me alone, finally :') I saw that they deleted their account as well.
@MochiSpaceMoose222 Scammers/bots have similar traits that can be used to identify them.
- Their account is fairly new (less than 60 days old)
- They've followed 100+ people
- They have multiple people on their discussion board thanking them for their "nice comment" and asking for more details
- Their comment on your book includes a Discord, Instagram or email.
- Their comment includes really no indication that they know anything about your story
- They refuse to chat on Wattpad, but want your personal contacts
@MochiSpaceMoose222 No problem at all. Be careful out there - anyone who says that they have ideas, creative thoughts, promotion tips, and planned comics for your story are very likely scammers.
Thank you for letting me know about the other account. I was aware of it all the time, but I wanted to have evidence in the app to be able to report it. However, I truly appreciate your concern and thanks.
