A candid thought from an unemployed author:

Most amateur and aspiring authors see Wattpad as their stepping stone—some use it simply as a hobby, while others hope it might lead to something bigger. But is it wrong for an author to feel that their work deserves some kind of monetary support?
It doesn’t have to be a fortune—maybe just enough for pocket money, or a small side hustle. I know that many well-known authors on Wattpad do receive royalties, but what about the newcomers who want to earn yet have no idea how to? Is there a way to actually make something while also learning along the way? Or will they just be tagged as “wannabes”?
Even if someone wanted to help these beginners, how would they go about it?

So many questions like these keep popping into my mind now that I’ve started thinking seriously about it… Hoping someone out there might have answers.
