Whale_from_Wales

Aw, thanks ^^’

But yeah, the first time I got invested in learning languages was when I was 14, and that was Czech... needless to say, I lost my investment in a short time, but I got it back recently! I never really liked learning Spanish, but I kept it up, and I enjoy speaking it.

Thank you for the luck... I’ll need it cause my brain has been fried for the past six years :’D

Skjkjs, boi I've literally asked my sister how she knows five languages. Also,I learned it when I was 11 so that may be the reason why,Romanian is really complicated. I only know Spanish,English and Romanian so I feel you,be sure that you are way better than me,also I wish you good luck in learning the languages you want to learn.

Brooooo, I only know English, Korean, and Spanish fluently. I can barely even speak any Welsh at all. Plus, I may be older than you? That could be part of it... I’m on my sixth year at uni (so I’m 23), this stuff being my major you’re good, man, I couldn’t study Romanian and keep it up for that long

I am learning German only because my older sister started learning it when I was younger and my older brother learned sheesh pick up lines in German to use when he went there. A few of my friends from back home were German, and I also enjoyed some German music. So I just decided to pick up a textbook at learn it....

.... I will admit, it’s a little boring, but, when I talk with people in German, I find it to be fun :)

Ah, wow, thank you so much! I’m actually not fluent in very man, only five. I’m doing my best in the others, though! You are doing really well in my books! You must be young, right? I’m in university and my studies are becoming a foreign language teacher, so most of what I do is languages anyways. I’m really not special ^^’

I also started learning languages back when I was 13, I’m 22 now (23 in July), so it’s been almost a decade since I’ve started. In reality, in not fluent in very many languages, but I just have ambitions to become fluent in a lot more. I’m also studying to become a foreign language teacher, so I’ve had classes in some of them as it was required. However, before I went to uni, I bought physical textbooks, used a crap ton of language apps (mostly ones for kids to start), used Rosetta Stone (which has issues cause it doesn’t use English at ALL, therefore you have to guess half the time, so I used the internet and searched up the difference between things and such), got physical games from said countries without English on it, played music, learned and decoded children’s songs, I also used iTalki, which is basically an online thing where you can click the language you want to learn, choose a teacher and have lessons with them over what you chose to learn. It’s really helpful! If you don’t have a lesson, your teacher isn’t available, and you still need answers to something, just post the question and someone will answer it, or, you can do what I did and assume the people already asked it, go online, search up the question and hope that there is an iTalki answer to it. They’re very trustworthy. I learned Czech, Korean, and Japanese from iTalki, and my brothers learned Japanese and Swedish from it. There is also a good app called HiNative, I love it! You can add languages you are learning and ask questions about them for others to answer. People tend to answer really quickly too. You are also able to give your feedback and help others out as well. It’s another one I recommend

I’d also read mangas/manhwas in whatever language I was learning. It improves proficiency in reading and, because of the pictures, it is really useful to help you grasp what is going on, even if you don’t fully get the words. This is to say that you are good enough to graduate from children’s books first

It’s also good to laugh and have fun. I remember once, that subscription’s (that I previously mentioned) word of the day was “목” which means “neck,” and, while I was reading a manga, it said, “뭐야?! 이 목소리?!?!” (“What?! This voice?!?!”). I recognised the word, “목소리,” but I had completely forgotten what it meant, so I searched it up. The result was “voice.” However, I remembered from that morning that “목” meant “neck,” so I wanted to know what “소리” was. As it turned out, “소리” means sound. I thought it was so funny that the word for “voice” in Korean was literally “neck sound”! To this day, I have never once forgotten either of those words again
