For book 2 instead of Ryder as the mate make Sam the mate he’s close to the family but not related. You can also have her “sister” be interested in Sam and they can for some reason find out early due to her special abilities that they are mates at her next birthday. And make her soften up to other wolves she is aware she’s one and her family was too and that she was taken. She should also very early on after becoming her wolf recognize her brothers sent as her twin. Then have them work together to find out why and who took her and get her reunited with her birth pack.
