My dear followers, 
          I haven't been the kind of writer on Wattpad that holds a warm heart for his followers as most do. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate your support.  I am not so active with social media in general and I distaste advertising. 
          
          However, I realise that because of this I have no idea who among you really like my stories. Who is really bumped out if I do not post a new chapter for the week. 
          So please, let me hear from you. What do you like about my stories? What do you think about the chapters, their length, my writing style? 
          Are things confusing? I tend to go too political sometimes . Are you interested in Dutch history?  Zijn er Nederlanders daar!? 
          
          If I am your provider of a fascinating story, please let me know and how I can help to even more enjoy it.

Writing a historical fiction is challenging because the world around it must be based on facts and that requires a bit of research. 
          And like it sometimes happens that you misspell something when writing you can also misread when researching. 
          I just came across an error of mine that really effects one of the characters of my stories:  John of Arkel. 
          It is already quite confusing that in the 14th century he was in conflict with the Archbishop of Utrecht, his half-brother also named John of Arkel. 
          But I also made him 20 years younger . 
          Turns out I confused his birthyear (1305) with his inauguration date (1326). 
          So that has to be edited. 
          If you are still reading a should come across the man (not the Archbishop- I know it is confusing) and find him acting too young for a man in his late 40's please give me a heads-up.

To my followers, who have stuck around or new ones. It has been many months since I posted anything on Wattpad. Study and then career took a huge chunk of my spare time, but now with the Corona crisis holding most of the world I am, like most of you I suppose, confined to the environment of my home. 
          The perfect time to pick up writing again. 
          It a way I don't hope the crisis is going to take so long for me to finish Book 2 of Hooks and Cods, but if so I've set it as my goal. 
          I am out of shape though so feel free to comment and give feedback. 
          Also, to new followers and readers, comment on Book 1 as well if you like.

          I've posted just the prologue, chapters shall be posted on random dates. 
          Why? I got a new job and don't know when I got time to write.  
          
          Also, I am scribbling a bit with a stand-alone novel set in my home town in the 16th century and a Middle-Earth fanfiction.

With the epilogue, I publish the last chapter of my first ever publicly written book!! I am so very excited and can't wait to see how my journey on Wattpad will continue from here. 
          I want to thank everyone who supported me and I hope that my story has brought much joy to you and will bring to others. 
          With its (semi-)completion comes a new cover. I hope you like it. Also, I've rearranged the novel in four parts with its own protagonists. I hope it makes the story more clear and easier to follow. 
          
          For now, I shall focus on perfectionating the story and trying to get it to the readers of this community who love this genre. 
          
          Of Hooks and Cods #2,  Brothers of Holland,  will be featured soon.

Had some time to correct some of the errors you guys pointed out. 
          (So no I have not published 4 new chapters XD)

          I shall save the rewriting of some of the chapters (like deeper descriptions of the characters and further expand their world)  until after I have finished the book.

For everyone who've enjoyed reading my novel so far.  First of all, thank you for the support but I must announce a change. 
          
          For those who don't know English isn't my native tongue and therefore make some mistakes every now and then. 
          
          But I've made a huge one concerning the of Claus van Sweaten. 
          His Dutch name is Klaus van Swieten wich in Englisch is pronounced as 'Sweeten' and not  Sweaten. 
          
          So I am going to change his name in my story. 
          
          Luckely he hadn't come up that much yet, but I do have some future plans for him, so I think to change his name crucial. 
          
          Sorry if you just got acquainted with him as Van Sweaten but as from today, he will be appearing as Claus van Sweeten.
