Hey, I just wanted to clear this up honestly and respectfully. From the start, I was clear that I was looking for genuine reading, not just c4c, and you agreed to that.
Right now, it feels like our expectations don’t really align. Reading seems to have paused while comments are being expected, and I’m not comfortable continuing an exchange that feels more transactional or based on added conditions. As a writer, I value unfeigned engagement and don’t want this to feel like a chore for either of us.
Because of that, I want to say that if you're not up for it, it's totally fine. There will be no hard feelings if you feel like you need to take a step back. My apologies if i came off as rude—I'm simply setting a boundary ❤️

@fromrkives I understand where you’re coming from, and I appreciate you being honest and setting that boundary so clearly. I do want to say that I’m genuinely interested in a real R4R, not something transactional or forced. The reason I paused a bit is simply because I’m juggling a lot of books at the moment. I usually wait for comments so I know the other person is actively reading and engaging, not just exchanging links. That’s also why I mentioned commenting after the 15k mark—by then, I would’ve cleared my pending reads and could fully focus on your story with the attention it deserves. That said, I completely get how this may have felt misaligned or uncomfortable, and that wasn’t my intention at all. I value genuine engagement just as much, and I don’t want this to feel like a chore on either side.
