Wallflower
She stands where the flowers bloom,
Quietly hiding in the room.
She speaks so softly, almost unseen,
Yet carries a world no one has seen.
She watches while the others shine,
Their voices rising, their laughter bright.
While she stays somewhere far behind,
Finding comfort in the quiet night.
She keeps her thoughts and dreams inside,
Where they can wander, safe and free.
She never wishes to be noticed,
Nor asks the world to look her way.
She may seem distant, calm, and shy,
But there are countless thoughts behind her eyes.
A quiet heart, a restless mind,
With little pieces left behind.
She walks alone, but she is strong,
Though sometimes she wonders where she belongs.
She does not seek a place in the crowd,
Nor does she wish to stand out loud.
A little flower out of sight,
Growing quietly away from light.
Not wanting praise, not needing a name,
Just wishing to remain the same.
She doesn't need to be the brightest hue,
Or bloom for someone else to view.
She only wants a quiet space,
Where she can exist without a trace.
For even a wallflower, quiet and small,
Can hold a universe behind a wall.
And though she may never wish to be seen,
There is beauty in the silence between.
