A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

That night, Mo Chen lit a lantern and placed it outside their home.

"What's that for?" Su Xiaoyu asked.

Mo Chen smiled softly. "To remind you that no matter how dark things get, you always have a way back home."

Su Xiaoyu blinked again, fighting tears.

"I never left home," he whispered. "I just... got a little lost."

Mo Chen stepped closer, cupped his cheeks again, and leaned his forehead against Su Xiaoyu's.

"Then let me find you, again and again."

The tears spilled over. But this time, they weren't from pain. They were from healing.

"What do you think the afterlife is like?" Luthen asked.

Raziel didn't have the heart to answer him as he began to turn smaller like a child. Then he became the red small reptile staring up at his friend.

"This is actually a cheat, Blain. Because for the last time, I want to see you." He looked at the small red dragon on his lap staring back at him. He touched it's smooth head as he placed his forehead into it. "I've always loved you. No matter in the past and when we grew up until now."

In a world where peace is something that is a mere hopeless dream, Luthen was a person who always smiled silly. Bubbly, innocent and kind. He who learned how to aim his gun at eight always wished to reach out to that boy who always wore a white clean lab coat.

To wave away those nightmares at night that made him feel guilty, to see the smile that was always calm but cute and to confess to that time where they can both stand on the rich ground full of life and peace.

If Luthen had a wish, he would like to relive this life with him again. This time, to save him from such despair.

To hold time in his hands like a remote control.

The young man smiled as he looked at the baby dragon that rubbed itself into his callous hand. There were tears in his beautiful green eyes and its small wings fluttering shakily. Its tail was dragged so low on the floor as the nose poke his uninjured leg.

"This is my gift for you." Luthen spoke gently. The hand slipped away and fell onto the ground motionless.

The baby dragon looked up and saw the the lifeless face smiling at him.

            I love you...

Green fields surrounded the world rich with life and trees. A vast land of hills surrounded the lonely creature as he watched a sunset in between two mountains in front of the cliff where he was last standing.

I have a goal once. I have a dream once. I have the most ambiguous ambition in this rotten world that everyone had disregarded.

Why I continued to strive was because you never once told me to give up. Because I have a friend who always smile at my ambitions and says keep it up. A person who supported me until the end.

"If given a second chance, would you still have chosen him?"

Hearing that question, the man dressed in a white robe merely chuckled. His purple eyes striking, as his eyes looked up.

"Even if there wasn't a second chance, I would still choose him. Even if he lingers as a wandering spirit, I would be lingering by the River of Oblivion, waiting until the day I meet him so that we could reincarnate together. For me, he is already my everything. Even if I was to be reincarnated a thousand times, I would still choose him no matter what. Because, to me, he is the only person I will ever love. I have already waited for him for five hundreds years now, watching as he chased after someone who didn't love him. Waiting for a thousand more years, I would even be willing to wait my entire lifetime. Love doesn't have a time limit, it merely depends on whether or not you're willing to wait for the other."
