          	Ok but real talk, I noticed how bored I was writing my own fanfic, and how boring it was to read it, so I realized it probably needs another overhaul. Honestly, I’m thinking of reverting my changes to Rainbow Stardust v2 and make a Rainbow Stardust v3, because I really did my own story dirty.
          	
          	I found my own flaws in the work, and asked ChatGPT to go in and continue to point out when I would lose people’s interest. I do NOT want to use ChatGPT to rewrite the whole thing. The fun part IS the writing, and I’ll be damned if I let a computer of all things take away from the impact I want to bring. 
          	
          	But for a little thing like this, since I lack a beta reader and don’t really have anyone else giving me comments anymore these days, it’s the closest I have to advice from another person.

I still have the old versions of Rainbow Stardust saved in Wattpad's editing history. So far, do you guys like what I've done with the new Rainbow Stardust, or would you prefer I went back to the old one? Personally, I'm starting to think the old one might've been better. Please let me know your thoughts.

I've heard someone tell me I should upload my Rainbow Stardust fic to AO3 because Sylvia's apparently well-thought out and makes a good protagonist. I disagree because I feel like Sylvia's just my trashy self-insert OC that sorta leeches the spotlight from the other characters and shoves herself into an already-complete story (but I can't help wanting her there anyway, like it's a guilty pleasure of mine).
          
          I know I've rewritten this story like three times now, but I would like to get some opinions on this. Is Rainbow Stardust AO3-worthy? I feel like it isn't, but my friend and older sibling seem to disagree with me on that. Do you guys like Sylvia at all?

I just updated the first chapter of my new Rainbow Stardust fic. I'm sorry I keep coming back and erasing and redoing things but I'm hoping this will be the last time I have to do this. I'm still trying to sorta get a feel for the whole thing.
          
          The first chapter now has more story in it, so I recommend you reread the whole thing. I may revise it again because writing Yusei is actually kinda hard and I wanna make sure I do the dramatic irony right. Please bear with me!

@pey_BOSS Weather dragons? It does sound interesting, and I appreciate the thought, but I actually sort of have an idea of what I want the weather painters to look like. Mostly because I like how they look already, and I don't want to take away from the rainbow fairies and their lore. However, I'm still interested in your idea-- I just want to let you know I probably won't be using it.
            
            On the other hand, I do like the idea of the weather painters having a pet each, however I've thought of them more as Level 1-3 fuzzy milffy-esque beast-type, winged-beast, or whatever other animal-type monsters. Like a sparrow for Wind, a literal sun dog for Sun... but I also worry that'll take attention away from the weather painters and their aesthetic as painters. So now when it comes to cards, besides the obligatory Signer dragon and red weather painter (and the fusion card and her canvas card), I tend to stick to support spells/traps, like what the crystal beasts have.

hey y'all i'm back from my trip! if you are interested in my fics, please let me know if you prefer my old Rainbow Stardust fic or my new one. I personally think the new one may be a bit more fleshed out, but I also did work on a couple of the chapters while on the road, so I don't know if that makes them better or worse.

@YourLittleSylveon I mean I don’t blame you for 5DS being your favorite it seems it’s a lot of peoples favorite. You are right with the fusion being limitless because you can make a huge amount of monsters because of different weather conditions that are a combination of two different weather conditions. Again, I don’t blame you for putting your own cards into the story, sometimes you just need to do it. I do like the current story for the GX Weather Painter story but you can do whatever you want with it because in the end it’s your story not anyone else’s (well except YuGiOh’s story itself). And again, understandable, it’s your most recent story so I wouldn’t expect you to suddenly go to the GX story.

you know what? that's a good question. i usually update things on a whim. currently i'm working on 5d's, mostly because i'm biased and it's my fave series out of every one, but i do also wanna go into the gx one sometime soon because the fusion potential is LIMITLESS. I just wanna go ahead and warn you that there will be quite a bit of anime bullshit and fake cards, partially to help the deck blend better with the world and partially just for self-indulgence purposes.
            
            And thank you for the feedback! I like the new one better too, but I was feeling nervous because I hadn't gotten any responses. I'll bring Hope back sometime, but it may come in the form of yet another rewrite (though this time I may change the chapters instead of making an entirely new book, because doing that may be getting old... or you could let me know which you would prefer, too.)
            
            For now though: 5d's is my main focus.

I apologize for the short notice, but this was sudden for me too. My dad just asked me to go on a trip with him to help our grandma move her things since our grandpa died recently and it's impossible to take care of her from across the country anymore. I'll still try to upload, but it will most likely be slowed considerably because I cannot emulate duels anymore (I won't have my computer with me) so this is the best I can do.
