Thank you! I had my suspicions about Lenora. But how did she convince Grunt to go along with the plan? What was his motive in this mess...?

Hahahaha if you ever do write those books, I'd be happy to play editor for you.

Grunt was easy to convince because of the oldest reason in the book of life, besides love: money and power. Lenora paid him REALLY well to do the job and to keep everyone quiet. Also, and maybe most importantly, with William gone, he was ready to assume the position of Amos' right hand man, which meant more money and power. That and William found out that Julius was stealing money from them and gave him a chance to repent and tell Amos the truth or he would - so that's why Julius worked so hard with Jonathan to have William killed in prison, instead of just arrested, like Lenora wanted (Lenora never actually knew that William and Julius had a backstory, or she would never have allowed him to do it).

If I ever do write those books I will definitely let you know ;P

          Spoiler please!
Hahaha, I like having conclusions, rather than coming up with my own. I feel that books are creations of the authors, and I'm just honored to be invite in as a guest.
I'd still read the sequel, even if I knew how it ended. ;) it's about the journey, not just the destination.

Regarding the true instigator for all this - I always pictured it was Lenora. In fact, in one of her last scenes, when she is taking to an old picture and whispering how "he" was the love of her life and how "he" didn't deserve his demise, it could be thought to be either Amos or William. In my mind, it is William she's talking to. She loved him, she envied Grace and so she made her very best to end their happy family. She was the one Julius answered to. Once she realised she had pretty much caused William's death, something she never envisioned (she never thought Jonathan and Julius would be so heartless and good at their job), she regreted and has regreted it since. As the years passed, she learned to love Amos, but her true love has always been William. In fact, they knew each other before William met Grace, Amos introduced them, and she fell in love right away. But as soon as William met Grace, he was forever in love with her, to the point where many people thought she had cast a spell on him (since her mother was said to be a witch).

I'm going on in a pretty big rant over here xD sorry about that, eheh xD I get too excited about this stuff. I could talk about this for days.

Damn it, now I want to write a prequel too! Lol.

Omg, I love you for this! xD

            Alright, spoilers *ahem*

This is how I envision it, but it is totally up to your interpretation.

In my mind, Alice and Joshua succeed in finding Jonathan and taking their revenge on him but they make the exact same mistakes Victor and Ethel made. They are just as consumed by their thirst for revenge, stuff happens, just like in Victor's case, they forget they can't control everything and everyone around them, unexpected people show up and much like Victor and Ethel, they find themselves in the vicious, addictive cycle of hatred, revenge and blood.

Not a very uplifting thought, I know, but they chose the wrong things to learn from Victor and Ethel. They chose the same path, hence they suffer pretty much the same fate. I think the biggest difference would be that Alice would be much colder and calculating than Victor ever was and Joshua would have doubts and questions where Victor and Ethel were always so certain. Joshua would be prone to follow his sister, like he always did, but he would also be constantly thinking of Preshea. Besides, Alice would be more cunning, but Joshua has a very amazing power of observation and an understanding of human nature that borders on the supernatural, so I think it would be a pretty interesting ride.

Damn it, I'm getting the urge to write this xD LOL.

          Yes!!! I love it <3
I really hope you write a sequel where the epilogue left off with Alice and Joshua. And we get to find out who the real culprit is... So much unfinished business!

dizzy_panda

Awwwe! Thank you so much! :D I'm so happy you enjoyed it ^__^ really means lot to me <3 Thanks!*

A sequel is honestly not in my plans, though you're right, there is a lot of unfinished business. But I left it kinda open ended on purpose, so that the reader can decide what happens for themselves ;P You get to decide, based on what you already know, if Alice and Joshua succeed or if they meet kinda the same fate of Victor and Ethel. About the real culprit, I left a few good candidates, mwahahh! I'm evil like that >:3 But if you want me to, I can tell you how I imagine it ends for Alice and Joshua and who I feel was the real puppet master all along ;P

I do love you for wanting sequel though ^___^ and for all your amazing support <3
