East and West philosophies often seem like parallel lines, hard to intersect. Martin Heidegger tried translating the 'Tao Te Ching' many times, but due to the Western languages' inability to convey some core ideas, the translations were not very successful. The boundaries of language are essentially the boundaries of thought. Nearly two hundred years of Western thought have settled in the East, and as a return, the author tries to present one of the highest wisdoms of the East-Zen Buddhism-to Western readers. No theories, just stories.
