Okay so, I’m trying to pick between two names right now. Currently when people ask me my name I either give them my deadname if I feel it may be unsafe or if the person knows my parents, or I say my name is L**. L** is the name I use at school. I’m not yet out to my parents but I think I might come out soon. I can’t decide if I wanna keep using L** or if I wanna start using Ash***e or even let my parents choose. But I think my question to the people that are willing to help me out is, would it be like okay to start going by another name after asking my teachers to call me L**. Like idk guys. Anyway if anyone’s willing to give me advice that would be awesome

@Zesty_Artist I'm not sure what to say, I have a friend who also wants to change their gender, but they haven't come out yet. I think it'd be best to first talk to your parents and then make decisions with them. Ofc this is what I think, I have no experience but I'd love to help! Oh and about the teachers, it may be weird, but your comfort is the priority, so if you'd rather be called by another name that makes you feel comfortable then I think you should!

(Also don’t come for me Ik the lead singer has done some terrible things, but I still listen to their music it makes me happy. And while I don’t like the artist I do like some of their songs. And in my opinion that’s okay. Again don’t come for me)

I asked my mom to buy me a binder and sent her a link She said she’ll buy them but she doesn’t really believe me and thinks that I’m being influenced by the people I’m around even tho I’ve felt like this since 7th grade before I met any of these people I’ve felt like this for almost 3 years And now I’m sitting in my room crying But it’s okay because she got them and I won’t hate myself so much hopefully
