The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever treads a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. Indeed, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge out of satisfaction with what he does. And indeed, all those in the heavens and the earth seek forgiveness for the scholar, even the fish in the water. The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over all the other stars. Indeed, the scholars are the heirs of the prophets, and the prophets did not leave behind dinars or dirhams as inheritance, but rather they left behind knowledge. So whoever takes it has indeed taken an abundant share.”
