My personality can easily be summed up in the character of Jay Gatsby from "The Great Gatsby" because I, like Gatsby, am a dreamer and an idealist, often to my own disadvantage; however, this is how I chose to live because in the end I will rather have given my life to attaining a perfect, and thus unreachable, goal than to have never tried for that which I place in such high importance.
I'm one of those "well-rounded" type, as you may call it, because I am a dancer and a writer. I sing (or attempt to) as well as play the flute and the piano. I like to think I'm great with little kids, and I do well in school. Although I'm not "great" at anything, I range from "okay" to "good" in many areas. My biggest problem is I have too many interests and not enough time to become "great" in all of them. Succeeding in every area of my life is one of those unattainable goals I mentioned.
When it comes to world views, I accept the belief in the one true God who rules over the Earth and works in the lives of men. Every day, I fail Him through sin. I measure my worth by the approval of my family, my friends, and even my enemies. I focus on worldly possessions and ideas, and I allow myself to be distracted from my Lord and Savior, though I know I am saved through His sacrifice on the cross--a sacrifice in which He, as a perfect being who was both fully man and fully God, died in my place, exchanging His perfect and pure heart for my blackened heart.
Romans 8:38-39
I can be very opinionated and I express my political and religious beliefs a lot in my writing. If you do not agree with my beliefs and cannot express your beliefs to me in a mature and respectful manner, I must request that you leave no comments regarding my beliefs or anyone else's, including your own. I ask this in order to refrain from any unnecessary conflict. However, I am fully open to a mature discussion in which I will be respectful of you and will expect you to be respectful of me.
