Every poetry that I written carrying a piece of what I felt, witnessed, and understood at the time.
As I look back at them now, I realize that they were not only about my own emotions. Somewhere along the way, my empathy allowed me to connect with the feelings of the people and world around me.
These are words that were once left inside me. Words that found their way onto paper when I didn't always know how else to express them.
Now, I am sharing them with you.
Perhaps somewhere between these lines, you will find a feeling that is familiar to you. Perhaps one of these poems will remind you of someone, something you once felt, or a part of yourself you thought you had forgotten.
I don't expect every poem to speak to everyone.
I only hope that, in some small way, my words reach you.
And perhaps, through these words that were once mine, we can connect.
