I honestly am confused why people are incredibly angry about this? It's a fanfiction, meaning its YOUR STORY. You can change the characters however you like because its not real, its made up, it doesnt affect the actual media it came from, and so if people are pressed about it, ignore it, dont read it, literally just go away and read a fanfic that does depict the character the way they were portrayed in their original media, let someone just write what they want to goddamn write and stop being so sensitive about it, and stop speaking for others who aren't bothered by it
