but seriously, I think hair color has nothing to do with academics. Dyeing our hair won’t suddenly make us fail exams or forget how to solve problems—it’s just hair, not brain cells. I do understand that it’s part of the rules, and that schools want us to learn how to follow them, to respect structure and authority. But honestly? As long as I’m passing, I don’t really care. Life’s too short to stress over whether my hair fits someone else’s idea of “acceptable.” If I want to express myself—brown, red, blue, neon green—then I will. Following rules is one thing, but losing yourself over someone else’s opinion is another, and that? I refuse
