yoo, writing fanfics benefited me so much because, as you are most likely aware, when writing fanfics, you add lots of details and adjectives so at my school we had to write a narrative essay which was going to be submitted into a contest against many other schools. mine got submitted out of a lot and i won 3rd place :) i was very proud and surprised because i didn't think that i would get any place at all so yeah, i thought i'd share.
