I tried my best to write the story in Taglish, but the truth is, Tagalog is not my first language. I grew up speaking Cebuano, and Ilokano—these are the languages that shaped my thoughts, my emotions, and the way I tell stories.
          
          Writing in Taglish became a struggle rather than a joy. I found myself overthinking every sentence, worrying more about the language than the story I wanted to share with you. And slowly, it began to take away from the heart of the narrative.
          
          So with honesty and humility, I am choosing to continue this story in English—where I can express myself more freely, clearly, and authentically. I sincerely apologize to anyone who may feel disappointed or caught off guard by this change. Please know that this decision comes from my desire to give you the best version of this story, written with confidence and truth.
          
          Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for staying with me. Your support means more than words can ever express. I hope you’ll continue this journey with me as Pretty Lies, Perfect Alibis unfolds.
