Today’s update for Choices and Chances will probably be late, and by late, I mean later today instead of 3 PM. I wrote most of it last night and kinda winged it, because these next chapters are so loosely planned and I’m having a hard time thinking of how exactly to play them out. But regarding today’s chapter, I just need to finish the last bit and grammar check it, so it’ll be a few hours late.

Hello everyone!
          
          An announcement for the readers of the second book of Tempting Fate, Choices and Chances. Unlike the first book, I wanted to get this book out sooner, and therefore, I had less prepared prior to posting it. I did write content in advance, but now I've caught up and need some time to work on the next couple of chapters because I didn't plan them out as thoroughly. All this means is that updates will continue but instead of twice a week, updates will be posted on Wednesday weekly.
          
          Thank you for all your support and sticking by me! 30k+ reads on the first book and 700+ reads on the second, I'm glad so many of you are enjoying the story! I'm having a great time writing book two and I'm so stoked for what's coming in these next chapters.

The next book of the Tempting Fate series is out: Chances and Choices
          
          We’re given chances in life and forced to make choices during those moments. The choices the V4 and Alaina made have always been important, but none have been important as they are now. These are the make or break moments for their friendship and, as time goes on, there is more that’s trying to break them than there is keeping them together. Ultimately, it comes to deciding if it’s all worth it or it’s too much. However, there is more to the world and more at stake than Beaumont Academy and their friendship; the sooner they come to terms with that, the clearer the choices become. But will they choose the easy option or take a chance with something new?
          
          The first chapter is out and the next ones will follow the schedule of Wed/Fri updates at 3 PM EST. Hope you all enjoy this next book!

I’m realizing that my writer’s block is more of a plot block. I have the general story planned out but I was trying the figure-it-out-as-you-go method and that just isn’t for me. It doesn’t help things need to make sense logically to me and the plot is just really messy/chaotic lol. It’s coming together ever so slowly though because it’s a lot harder to write than the first book with how much is not planned down to the detail. Progress on the second book is currently at thirteen chapters but I think I’m going to wait until I have up to a certain plot point to post because there’s too many uncertainties in between that I still need to arrange and plan thoroughly. So sorry for the delay with book two, promise it won’t take until the end of the year, which we are rapidly approaching surprisingly.

Life update! I was on vacation for the past week, spent time on a cruise, some beaches, and finished a book. I think that really helped the slump of writer's block because I have a fresh mind with new motivation. I've been stuck on the first ten chapters, apparently writing happy and fun scenes is hard for me lmao, but they're as important to the story as the emotional ones. Anyway, that was a well-needed break and I should get back to working on book two again. I am sick right now, but I'll return to it soon.
          
          I'll continue my R4Rs as well once I get over this nasty cold, I've been sleeping so much these past couple of days.
