I have been a hopeless romantic for as long as I can remember. Growing up, with fairytales that tell of happy ever afters, I too had dreams of finding my own.
I am known for my wild imagination so might as well put it to good use. There are just too many stories in my head and alternate realities to be explored.
It is both the escape from the cold and bitter circumstances and the keeper of precious moments. For once you start to write, everything has become a subject. There are days when words type themselves on paper and days you come up with blanks.
A collection of everyday human emotions in the face of life's inconsistencies. This is a lot of things all at once.
It could be a compilation of great works as well as a peek into the lowest points. The disappointment from failing to balance expectation and reality. The mistakes and the lessons learned. The resolutions and what really happened.
We all have felt stuck at some point in our lives. Some people sing. Some people dance. Some people cry. Some people settle. Some people write.
This is coping with the ironies and changing perspectives but what remains constant is the hope of someday. One day it will all make sense.
What happens when life gives you lemons? I think everyone knows how to make lemonade already. Here's to adding our own twists.
