Hey there! I've read what you wrote on my message board. Sure!

Tip 1) First and foremost, never -- and i mean NEVER -- leave comments on people's stories asking others to read your books.
It isn't the nicest thing to do to an author whose worked hard on their OWN story. Really, it'll just make people a bit annoyed and not click on the link to your story. :)

Tip 2) Get your name out there!
If you like to read stories, don't be a silent reader! Comment and vote! The more you comment, the more people will see your username... it's nice to the author and yourself. :)

Tip 3) Have a nice book cover.
If you have a nice book cover, it'll get more people to have the motivation to go ahead and open your story and give it a chance. The saying 'don't judge a book by it's cover' is true, because you might have a really 'bad' cover and a really fantastic book. Still, if you had a book with no cover, and a book with a really nice cover... which one would you open?

          ... I thought so. ;)

          Tip 4) Make friends!
If you like an author, don't be shy! Just be casual (or be fangirly -- either works) and go ahead and post a conversation starter on their message board. If they're nice, they'll reply. If they don't, well, then they're missing out. If you do this, you'll have your name out there even more.

MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU DO THIS YOU AREN'T USING ANYONE FOR 'FAME.' I'm sure you wouldn't do that, but still. :) Don't get carried away.

I hope this helped! Remember, things like this take time. Don't feel discouraged. At all. You're doing magnificent already!

Much love, Xx (ignore any spelling mistakes, lol. I'm to lazy to check if I have any. :P)
