My parents named me Aru. 
I happen to share this name with a particular valley in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
I wrote my first story when I was 8 years old, and my mother was my first reader. 
In my friends' slam books, I wrote that I wanted to be a 'published author'. 
I don't share the same dreams as my 12-year-old self. 
Today, I just settle with being an 'occasional writer'.
