I'm a writer of haiku-style poems, poems and story poems under the pseudonym of AshiAkira. These poems I have written and posted in my blog (ashiakira.wordpress.com) and Twitter (@ashiakira) in the past several years exceed 2,000 in number.

My pseudonym of AshiAkira was composed in tribute to a Japanese and an American fighter pilots who died during WW2. 

The late Japanese pilot was one of my high school senior. He left his writing on the wall inside the clock tower of the school building a day before he flew on the mission to die in the pacific. I conducted some research on him based on his writing and found him recorded on the list of graduates of the now defunct Imperial Navy Academy. Further details about him can be found in the "About" I wrote on my WP blog.

As for the late American pilot, his remains were discovered in Bulgaria 57 years after his death in the crash of his P38 fighter plane in action. The discovery was a result of furious efforts of his relatives survived in the United States. I came to know of him because his mother was my landlord when I was a rooming tenant at her house for several months while I studied in the United States for some years between 1958 and 1963. The mother naturally told me a lot about her son while I was staying in her house. She was then only notified that her son was missing in action. I wrote about him also in the "About" of my wordpress blog.

Those WW2 pilots are but only two of countless others who had to die young because of the war.  I've found some people use AshiAkira as their account name. In fact, I noticed it is used on this Wattpad. I'd appreciate if it'd be withdrawn so that I could freely use it as such without modifying it by adding "1" at the end of it. If there is an acceptable reason for using it by others, please let me know by a private message. I'm prepared to re-write this section of my profile with an apology.
