Ian Banks is an sole practitioning architect, public art consultant and occasional journalist. He is also a frequent fly-fisherman and a very sporadic poetry writer - having achieved a noble mediocrity in both of these essential skills over very many years.
This then is his very modest poem collection, published for his own pleasure, and only uploaded to bring his extremely scruffy hand-written scribblings up to a 21st century digital standard for posterity.
Quoting Norman Maclean's 'A River Runs Through It and Other Stories':
"...all good things-trout as well as eternal salvation-come by grace and grace comes by art and art does not come easy"
