Last year, while watching #LegendoftheBlueSea I realized thay they have the same plot with my novel Soulmates (300 Years of Love for Book 1 and The Legend Unfolds for Book 2) which I created when I was still in highschool (2005) and now published in Wattpad. They have the same concept of everlasting love that started in the past and continued in the present. And also reincarnation; died in the past and reborn with exactly the same face hundred of years after.
For Legend of the Blue Sea, the Village Head Dam Ryeong falls in love with Se-hwa, a mermaid; died and promised to meet agaid as Joon Jae and Shim Cheong during present time.
For my novel (since I am a JDorama and Anime fan, I used the japanese culture as the setting of my story), an Empress during the Edo period named Shouko falls in love with the mighty samurai named Ojiro Fujisaki. They both love each other but Imperial law and their duties as a queen and a soldier hinders their love story. They promised to continue their love when they are reincarnated. 300 years after, Shouko is reincarnated as Yashiri (Ishi) Koizumi, a lonely girl who wants to stop her parents' divorce. Ojiro is reincarnated as Hiroshi (Hiro) Ueda, a photographer in a newspaper company in Tokyo.
And take note, LOTBS and Soulmates have the same theme, cherry blossoms and sea.
Now, I have the opportunity to be the producer for this korean series, reminding me to continue my pending book two. Is this what you call 'destiny'?
And now I would like to apologize to my dear readers if I wasn't able to update Soulmates. This is the main reason why. So many things to do at work.
